Wanita MCA Penang - DAP owes Penangites an explanation regarding the internal fighting

The internal conflict among DAP Penang over the phrase “godfather” and “warlord” has greatly affected the harmony among the different races in Malaysia, and DAP should control the emotions of their party members to avoid the issue from becoming more serious.

During the DAP Penang convention last week, Penang DAP Socialist Youth Soon Lip Chee had attempted to appease the supporters who had gone out of control and had almost started a fight, and after the convention he had noticed that his car tyres had been punctured. These incidents show that inappropriate actions had been taken by DAP members and Soon Lip Chee had had to lodge a police report to avoid further harassment.

Ever since DAP had gained control of Penang, their party members have been embroiled in internal conflicts with each other, and this is not what the people of Penang want.

Because of power and status, Penang DAP has been involved in serious in-fighting and these issues are always reported heavily in the media. Why has the DAP leadership not taken any action? They have been appointed by the people to govern Penang so it is necessary for them to give an explanation to Penangites.

This internal conflict is also bound to affect the administration of the state government, therefore the DAP leadership needs to solve this problem among their members.
